A colection of photoes taken using a macro lense capturing segments and sectoins of graffiti peices i like, these images are to become pixels for my later work,
the megority of the images presnt the contrasting colours and powerful use of line .

by removing the colour from the colection of graffiti sections the images becom ferther removed from there original perpose from these black and white pixelesk sections i want to creat a greater image using the already existing lines and shapes.

The folowing images present the distortion and removel of the identety of an existing peice.Through the use of photoshop pixilation and elongation of specific sections within a graffiti peice the way in which the viewer recieves the final images in contrast to the orginal images is far more prolific than just a shift in aesthetics; the image no longer holds the identification of graffiti thus removing the burden of being viewed negatively. From the colour pallet found within the pixels iv removed all asosiation exept the mediem of srpaypain and the pallet creating a hole new peice to be produced as a saleable product.

The images elicit and provoce acceptance as digital peices presenting them selfs not as graffiti but as peices created from graffiti alowing the vuewer to aknoage them as digital art aims to dissregard the iligality of the originnal creation
From various attempts of documenting my work iv come to realise that some of the most beutiful aspects of graffiti rests in the often over looked quoltis within the peices, the effect of spray paint on a wall highlights serten qualitys and textures, these aspects were realised in my earlyer work when creating a range of photoes using macro photography of iconic imagery within the graffiti practice. To focus on a 2 inch square within a graff peice draws apon a serten level of irony witch acompanies the asthetical power of the images.

To observe graffiti in this fasion presnts a far deeper focuse on the artists use of colour, removing the observation of scale and proportions of letters witch at large are the main focuse within graffiti world wide.

This documentietive photography presnts the varios stages of the life of a peice of graffiti from its enisial placement to its final out come. this is just one part to a project of documenting a graffiti peices entire existance, i would like to create a book of a peice befor its even creaed, capturing the wall befor its altered, documenting the artist producing the inisial idea capturing the artist producing the work all the way through to where the peice ends up, wethere thats as a photo in a book or a image on the internet or even just the peice aging through time untile its weathered and fades of the wallusing a restricted vue of the peice i attempt to force vuers to inage woth the painting from an abstract perspecting hindering the potencial for the observer to interprite the peice with an already existing negetiove asossiation of graffiti, offering them a chace to appriciate it for its asthetical qualitys.

AN ARTIST...

This image is a compolation off all that is and represents the indevidual.

i aim to porduce a series of profiles on diferent artist presenting uneqe insights to each of them, displaying there favert colour or mediom, there indevidual signiture aswell as a series of images presnting the various stages of there work.

This collage of macro segments found within a graffiti peice have been inverted and rearanged presnting pixles of a greater image,
